The Forest of Dean – The forest of Dean has numerous places where you can enjoy the great outdoors in many ways. The ever-popular Go Ape is a great way to see the forest from the treetops, from a segway or by mountain biking, but if you want something a little less adrenaline fuelled the sculpture trail at Speech house is a firm favourite with families. Another popular place to go in the Forest is Puzzle wood, an intriguing ancient woodland that is beautiful and has been featured in many television shows and films – it is said that it inspired Tolkien when he wrote the Hobbit.
