Are you looking to take up a new hobby or perhaps you have been missing your favourite pint down the pub whilst lockdown has been in place across much of the UK. Well, you could take a look at brewing your own beer from home. It is a relatively cheap hobby and fun one too that you can enjoy with your friends and family.
To start off with you will need a starter kit that gives you the right amount of hops, malt extract and sugar and you can find these in numerous different places online. You will then also need to get yourself some equipment. Again you can find these in starter kits and you should ensure that you the following to get your started:
- Fermenting bucket
- 23 Litre pressure barrel
- Siphon tubing
- Plastic spoons
The process of making the beer happens in five stages. The first stage is where you brew all your ingredients together. To start off with you might want to stick to a basic recipe but once you get the hang of it you might want to consider taking a look at a Flavouring Manufacturers such as Stringer Flavour to get some flavourings to add to your beers.
The next stage is fermenting where you leave your beer mixture to cool and then you transfer it into the fermenter where you add the yeast and then leave for around 1 to 2 weeks. Next you prime and bottle your beer and let it age.
Once you have aged your beer you then sit back and enjoy your homemade delights.
