Look after the garden birds- The winter is the hardest time for the birds who struggle to find food and water, especially when the ground is frozen, so it a great time to set up a bird feeding station. You can buy a bird table or find somewhere like this Southampton timber merchants http://www.timbco.co.uk who will be able to supply you with wood to build your own.

Repair and tidy – This is a great time of the year to do all those jobs you were putting off over the summer. Whilst the garden furniture is not in use you can give it a good clean and a fresh coat of paint so that in the summer it will be ready for use and good as new! Repair any fencing as well in case of winter storms and check the garden for any jobs that need doing.
